Mandrem is a seaside village and a famous tourist spot in Pernem taluka of North Goa.The beach is located about 1 km west of Mandrem village. Mandrem is one of the most northernmost beaches in Goa, 5.95 kilometers from Goa’s border with the state of Maharashtra. Mandrem is a small but beautiful beach. It is only 790 meters long. This is a white sandy beach, which remains less crowded even during the peak tourist season, as most people prefer to visit the other more popular beaches in north Goa The sparkling water and the isolated beach offers ample opportunities to enjoy this calm and peaceful environment.
The Mandrem village is a fishing community, so you will see the occasional fishing boats, the fishermen counting their catch, or the locals drying their nets on the beach. There are also a few shacks run by the locals with their sun beds where you can sit back, enjoy the beauty of nature. The best time to visit the Mandrem beach is November to February as it is the peak tourist season in Goa,the weather is pleasant. You will get long and sunny days, but the sun doesn’t beat down harshly. Also at this time of year watersports is available and all shacks and shops are open.
Anyone from a sole backpacker to couples and families who like calm and quiet beach and for those who love adventure of water sports. Mandrem beach is perfect, but there is not much here for night party lovers.
Like its neighbors it is a less crowded beach and there are no much nightlife here, but u can always go to vagator, baga or calangute beach for an amazing nightlife experience in goa. All the major night clubs in goa are located near calangute.
The summer season is hot with temperature rising up to 36°C. It will rain heavily in the monsoon, with chance of thundershowers often. Besides, the sea will also turn choppy, so it is best to avoid swimming if it rains. The rain begins to reduce by october.The winter season is the best time of the year at Mandrem like elsewhere in Goa. This is also the peak tourist season, but there are never too many tourists here. So it is always very nice, perfect for a relaxing holiday.
