The Beach at Arambol is 16 kilometers long. It is located between qerim beach on north and morjim at south. It is mostly sandy, but with rocks at some places. Hills in the background add to the beauty. . It is also one of the cleanest North Goa beaches, as there are fewer tourists here. Most tourists are in the central part of the beach, so if you walk towards the north or the south, you will get perfect solitude.The Arambol beach curves gently towards the sea, which is shallow with a flat bottom. Swimming is safe. The sand is smooth, but slightly darkish.

Once popular with the hippies, there is a laid-back feel about this beach. Visitors here are mostly foreigners, It is one of the greenest beaches in Goa, as the entire shoreline is lined with coconut and other trees. Red hills are in the background of the beach with small jungles of bush giving a beautiful scenery landscape.

There is a thick forest and a sweet water lake at the northern end of the beach, and the famous Banyan Tree, where the famous music band The Beatles had meditated according to a legend.The cliffs near the beaches are popular for paragliding and dolphin watching boat trips and other water sports activities.

Arambol became popular in the 1960s when long-haired hippies first arrived in Goa. Arambol, with its clean white long stretch of sand was a perfect choice. Now in 2019 not much has changed ,Only modern things at arambol beach would be the water sports activities, few night clubs and shops.

Arambol still retains its old Goa culture and fishing village ways of life. There are shacks and restaurants, which stay open in mostly in the peak tourist season there are no big resorts or villas here, but you can easily find accomodations at local houses, beach huts.

  • Flea Market – In the peak season, there is a beach side flea market every evening. Russians manage most of the stalls.. You can find musical instruments, jewelry, and many exotic things here.
  • Fire Shows – Almost every shack organizes fire shows and fireworks in the evenings.
  • Drum Circles of Arambol are very famous in Goa. You can see foreigners singing and playing Jimba. There is dancing too.
  • Money stone Visit the Banyan Tree in the jungle valley away from the beach. It holds a so-called money stone with the engraving: “Give if you can. Take if you have to.”
  • Paragliding – The Arambol beach is one of the best places in Goa for paragliding. You take off from the Arambol Mountain, just north of the beach
  • Sweat lake Beach – There is a beautiful beach just north of Arambol. Hike through the small forest at the north end of Arambol beach and cross the jungle valley to reach the Kalacha Beach where the sweet lake is situated.
  • “Multani mitti“ sweet lake is famous for its cleansing sulfurous mud. The hippies used to dip themselves in this yellow mud. It was a common sight.
  • The Banyan Tree – According to a legend, members of the music group The Beatles meditated under this tree on their Goa trip. Many like to camp around the tree.
  • Surfing – There is a surfing club at the beach that offers surfing lessons. The trainers are international surfers living in Goa.
  • Arambol Freak Festival is held in February. It is much like the carnival where people dress up in costumes. You will see them marching along the coast. There is dancing, music and bonfires too

The winter season which is the peak vacation season in goa that is between November and February, is the best time to visit Arambol beach. It is bast this time of the year. There are all types of water sports activities and adventures like paragliding this time of the year. The monsoon is too risky for outdoor activities due to high winds, waves and the chance of sudden rain. The summer can be too hot. Most beach shacks at Arambol are open only during the peak winter months everything shuts down almost completely at other times of the year

It's very difficult to find a beach in north goa which is not crowded, but somehow even with its popularity arambol beach manages to be a one. Families can do outings here, couples can spend lone time here, and indulge in adventure sports.

There is nothing much for party freeks at arambol beach as there are not many night clubs here, for that you will have to go to baga or calangute beach
